Hope is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier.

I went to the doctors office and hospital yesterday for my pre op junk…and guess what! I have been walking around for MONTHS thinking and telling people my surgery was Feb 10. WRONG… FEB 9!!! I just lost a day. Tomorrow is hair and grocery shopping, Friday I signed up for a workshop with Debbie (my fun activity before surgery) Saturday some sewing and cleaning, Sunday more cleaning and cooking and book club at my house Sunday night. And then! Oh well time is flying by me and I will be laid up for a while. I’m not freaked out but I’m not looking forward to it either. I’ll probably be breathing in a paper bag Sunday night!

This makes me smile. This adorable pincusion was sitting on Susan’s table. It cracks me up. The poor little bird plus he had a seam ripper coming out of his butt! hahahaha. I wanted to steal it but I decided that would not be so nice.

Ok so one of my workshop students says this to me at breakfast.. “Someone asked me if I was a quilter. I said well……I’m like a man and sex…I think about it all the time, talk about it all the time, read about it all the time….but I don’t do it so much!” I swear I almost lost oxygen to my brain when she said that. I loved it!
See I told you I learn a ton of stuff from the quilters who take my classes.

I have planned with Little Quilts and Sweet Home Quilt Co. the quilts for the second quarter of ’09. They are going to be really spectacular. I will post pictures of the quilts tomorrow. These kits will be available to all Silver Thimble Club members from both shops. If you are not in the Atlanta area you can contact the shops and order them directly. I will give all the details on that in my next blog.

Have a quilty day,
Pat
