After you set your intention, there might be a slow down period. That’s because you have to let go of some of the old in order for the new to arrive. Most of the people in your life will think you’ve lost your mind.

Ok here I go, thoughts written life is about quilting and design…(well really family..but you know what I mean). That being said, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking of change within my designs and patterns. I want to bring more of myself and what I love to the surface.

Setting my intention on what I wanted to do was time consuming, thought provoking (in my case that alone is scary), humorous (I crack myself regularly), change and acting on change is difficult…and wonderful…

When it comes to setting an intention and making changes I am OUT of the slow down period and into letting go of some old stuff, opening up new ideas and fresh thoughts. Decluttering so to speak. Most of the people who know me will already think I’ve lost my mind anyway so nothing new there! I am sooo enjoying the artist freedom I have not felt in some time (I was originally a studio art major in college and have a minor in that area its time I use what I have). Am I making ANY sense?

Well here it is……

I wanted to step out of the box as far as designs, quilting, and fabrics. I want to include more applique’ and some “funky, happy stuff” you know what I mean, right??? I started doing this a few years ago but then stopped….so here I go AGAIN WITH GUSTO. I’m still traditional in nature…but with a twist so to speak. I have goals for Fall Market and some other stuff for 2011 so I have time, but I still have my feet to the flame with deadlines. I can’t wait to share with my fellow bloggers but for now… can I just write about the process? I sure hope so. I think that is what blogs are for…sharing.

This is my official post about what I have been thinking and doing? I’ll include this picture so you won’t feel like I was trying to punish you for reading my ramblings…doesn’t this look goood?
