A perfect Get Away!

I have a heart with room for every joy. -Pj. Bailey

I got away with my friends Becky, Brenda and Karin to Brenda’s cabin deep in the woods of the North Georgia mountains. We had so much fun, constant chatter, sewing, laughing…happy hour on the screened porch. It was terrific. Brenda is hand dying wools and they are spectacular. We spent a good bit of time planning some kits from Silver Thimble patterns. I’m super excited about this and will be showing you all this when she gets them ready!!! Here is a quilt that Brenda completed. I tried and failed to steal it. photo (5)

Here is Karin’s beauty. This is from a Bonnie Hunter pattern. It is so funky and amazing at the same time. Great use of scraps. The inner border stops the maddness and the outer border just pulls it all together don’t cha think???I love quilts that have a old timey scrappy look. Serious love here.

Becky finished our Shh…Don’t Tell Mystery quilt. I can’t show you the picture because…well… it’s a mystery. Becky’s quilt was made from 30’s fabric and a light/midlevel solid gray. That combination was amazing. Try it sometime. Very unexpected and fabulous choice. As for me evidence of my accomplishment is on the table. See those purple log cabin squares? Yup that is my work. I finished 150 of those little puppies. Didn’t get the quilt put together but dang I had a great time!
