More East Cobb Quilts

On with the dance! Let joy be unconfined. – Lord Byron

This is a long post which is very photo rich. If you are in a rush SLOW DOWN it is worth the look see! Let’s GO!

I waited a couple of days while the give aways for my blog and Kathy Brown’s terrific new book took place and winners announced. What fun it is to do blog hops and review new books! On to the East Cobb Show. I took a ton of photos so here is my second/delayed posting.

In the category of SERIOUSLY? You seriously made this quilt. (somebody has a lot of time on their hands!).

Color how I love thee.

IN THE TERRIFIC SETTINGS CATEGORY!

I am a big big fan of quilts that finish or just add to a design but making a clever border. Yup I loved this quilt.

This quilt is such a visual treat. The maker did some serious thinking and planning the pink fabric. The borders are gorgeous as well. So nicely done I say. What say you?

Great color, great setting, great applique. My My MY!

My friend Jean made this quilt..she wone herself a ribbon too! There were so many people around the dang quilt I couldn’t shove them all aside to get a good photo. There were two other people that made the same quilt so I’m really not sure if this one is actually Jean’s quilt. I remember when she made this quilt. My admiration for her work knows know bounds and I love her dearly too. I sure hope this is the right photo. She will understand if it is not. She can punch me in the nose if she wants to as well. I won’t care! Jean if you are reading this leave us a comment and take a bow!

There were two quilts that I did not get good photos of. One was my personal favorite quilt. I will see if anyone has a photo I can share with you on that subject. Another was a Garden Club quilt made for my friend Kathy N. to replace the one that was stolen from a shop. What a gift. I wish I had a good photo!!!

I hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did. Thanks for letting me share this “Atlanta Quilting tradition” with you!
