Where’s Waldo?

On the Road again… and happy!

It has been a super busy and terrific trip to Michigan so far. I spent 3 busy days in the Petosky/Charlivoix area. My lecture and workshops were so much fun. What can be better than fabulous and friendly quilters smack dab in the middle of one of the loveliest areas of the country. I about wrecked the car gawking at the homes and beautiful areas every where I looked. Then I got to lecture and teach in the most fabulous facilities. I was undone by my visit. I did not want to leave.

This group was the first group to see ALL the quilts from my second book Knockout Neutrals. They certainly liked what they saw yes sireeee. Look at the second photo. Sunnyside from Spotlight on Neutrals. She added a border and used a soft fallish palette of color. I loved it and she honored me by taking my design and made it her own. When she has it quilted it will be even better.

We had a day off with some travel at the end and made a bee line for Mackinac (pronounced Mackinaw) Island. What a place talk about photo ops! It was cloudy but beautiful anyway.

I’m in Bad Axe now (which is in the thumb area of Michigan) Lecture tonight and workshop tomorrow. Whooop whoop here I go. If you are in the area, come see me.
