Silver Thimble Extravaganza

NEW! Choose 5 or 6 of the patterns designed by Pat and she will teach them all to your group.  Each person can work on their chosen project and listen to the instruction going on around the room on all the other projects. It is like going to 5 different workshops at one time.  LEARNING TO THE MAX!  This is a full day of teaching lots of different techniques and quilts. Come ready to learn a lot.

Totally  Technique 

NEW! This workshop is geared toward technique driven demonstrations with make and take practice.  We will move through a variety of techniques and products discussing and practicing each one.  The prep work for class and materials for each demo will be included in your class kit along with a detailed packet of handouts for everything taught in the workshop. Some of the topics covered will be: Mitered Corners, Bindings, Scallops, Over sizing blocks, Changing block dimensions, Over Dying fabric, Specialty rulers and their uses (the good, the great, the ugly and pointless), Applique’ raw edge and beyond,  and so, so much more!

A workshop kit and packet will be provided for each participant for $15.00.

Come learn the ins and outs of machine appliqué while making a Holiday table runner from the design studio of Silver Thimble Quilt Co. A workshop with combination techniques of stack 'n slash and machine appliqué. This popular pattern How Does YOUR Garden Grow from the Silver Thimble Quilt Co. will be a favorite to your quilt collection. We will learn/review both techniques and have a quilted garden in bloom! This pattern is a buddy friendly pattern with you and your friend sharing fat quarters. A great class project for bee groups and guilds. Maximum class size 20.

ABC's of Quilting

Come join me as we take a "School Teachers" view of quilting with a lighthearted romp through the alphabet. Pat will bring a visual feast of quilts. Tips, tools, and techniques are the order for the day with classroom experience. Come to quilt school as we enjoy learning and laughing in the schoolteacher's quilt classroom.

APPLIQUÉ..it's all about time!

Love the look of appliqué but don't have a Baltimore Album lifestyle? Come join Pat as she shows you the ins and outs of machine appliqué. We will learn all the latest techniques for bringing those eye catching appliqué projects to the finish line in a jiffy. Pat will walk you through the machine appliqué process with a step-by-step visual presentation. The quilt samples of beautiful quilts that Pat will bring are proof positive that machine appliqué can be not only fast but FUN AND BEAUTIFUL!

HOW DID YOU DO THAT?

Come learn some new, and revisit some tried and true methods, tools and techniques. Improve your quilting skills and accuracy with ease. We will work on construction techniques, down sizing and up sizing blocks, perfect borders, and the latest notions available to make your quilt life easier. Pat will help you loose your fear of the mathematics part of quilting (no kidding!). This lecture is designed for maximum learning with a whole lot of fun and fabulous ideas.
