A little of what you fancy does you good.

I was at Little Quilts yesterday having a lovely visit with Mary Ellen and all the Little Quilts gang. I love her shop and I love her “people” they certainly have fun over there. (this is the other side of Atlanta for me). Mary Ellen is kitting up my “Scrappy Nines” quilt for our Silver Thimble Club so we needed to get some stuff planned together. While there we were talking about a couple of new notions she zeroed in on at market. One is the Rapid Fire Ruler (don’t cha love the name} This ruler makes wonderful Hunters Star blocks with no Y SEAMS..are you payin attention people? I saidNO Y SEAMS...I did see a demo of the Rapid Fire ruler at market and I was impressed. The true story of my seeing the demo is that Mary Ellen ordered me to get down to that booth and check it out for my Silver Thimble people and I always do as I am told! Well I bought the thing yesterday. This is proof once again that I am on a quest to own every notion on the planet. I’m going to study this ruler with intensity…similar to the way I studied in college, minus the beer. I will report back later. This gives you time to prepare your piggy banks, okay?

Oh, and by the way there were two other rulers, one called the Tucker Trimer which all the girls at Little Quilts were jummpin up and down over, and another one called the Wing Clipper which gave a similar reaction from the L.Q. staff. (those girls are easily pleased) They were out of the Tucker Trimmer, apparently there is a run on these babies. I need to approach my reasearch with caution so I’m going to absorb one new ruler one at a time THANK YOU. I’ll wait for the next shipment to arrive on the Tucker Trimmer and Wing Chopper thingys. Then I will drive slowly (zoom) over there and look at the rulers and decide if they are Silver Thimble research worthy…Haha and you think I’m easily swayed right?

In my last post I did the Simply Womans Daybook idea. I found the web site and here it is for your reading enjoyment. http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com

Off to have lunch with a friend and then home to sew, and sew, and sew.
