Home from Asheville

The first wealth is health.

After a WONDERFUL weekend teaching on Saturday and then off to Asheville to see Emily and Russ. I’m home again and refreshed and ready to get back to work…sewing that is. I did not realize how much I needed to get away and not think about work for a couple of days. Asheville is paradise, cool air, beautiful mountains and the cutest newly wed couple there to greet us.

Emily had her dinner table set with her monogrammed napkins and all her wedding goodies…Russ grilled salmon and we enjoyed being together. Mary Beth got to come with us so our whole little family was together! On Sunday the guys played golf and we girls hit the antique shops and a few other stores. Dang my girls can shop. We all went out for Italian Saturday night and off to the Grove Park Inn on Monday. Holey Cow! Is that place gorgeous…here are a couple of photos. It was rainy on Monday but it was still breath taking.

Barb is having an Accuquilt Go give away on her blog jump over there and sign up. Tell her I sent you! She is a great person! I know I will meet her one day!

Started this post yesterday and finished it today…sheeesh…somebody come save me…I’m covered up with TO DO’S.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. It is always good to get away and always good to get back home.

What a pretty place!!! Heck…if I lived closer, I’d hop over and help…no problem about that at all. (And if I win the GO that Barb is giving away, I’ll even offer to cut some of your fabric for some of your projects…how about THAT?)

We were in Asheville last weekend also. My son and daughter in law live there. We hiked Bent Creek/ Pisgah Forest on Sat. Awesome!! Now I’m trying to get back in a groove.
