Tree Skirts

When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically then line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth. So what the heck…LEAP!

Lookie! These Christmas skirts were made by Janice..didn’t she do a great job? She is getting a jump on her projects for the holidays for sure. Thank you Janice for sending me the photos I’m glad you enjoyed the pattern.

I’m leaving tomorrow to go to the mountains for a couple of days of sewing…I can’t wait. I packed my projects, machine, made spaghetti pie, salad and french bread for our dinner tomorrow night…and got some cheetos which should get us through. We had so much fun last year, and we have all been looking forward to this for months. I’m glad I’m leaving because my next door neighbor is getting a new roof starting tomorrow and I’ve had just about enough of the the hammering and pounding!!!

Remember I said I would take pictures of my class yesterday??? However…I did not say that I would remember to put a fully charged battery in my camera. I swear sometimes I wonder if I am working will all my pistons firing. sheeesh….I have packed the camera and batteries..and charger for the trip to the mountains. (I generally learn from my mistakes…well at least sometimes I do!)

Just curious about what size cuts are made in the fabric to get your tree skirt? I am wondering if I could make the cuts using the AccuQuilt GO cutter that I’ll be getting this week (from my lucky win on their FACEBOOK page)? If so, I will be ordering the pattern. I know there is a ruler to go with it, but if the cutter will do the same job, I’d try to use it for that. Have fun at the “getaway”….and I’m glad you are taking camera batteries…..and you might want to do from now on what I do (after having a battery problem)…keep an extra set in the camera case!!!

With all you DO remember, can it be a surprise you forget one very small thing? You are amazing; I am sure I could not keep up with all you keep up with. Have a great time in the (quiet) mountains. I will be at Mom’s. Much love, Karmen
