I would love to win your book named Spotlight on Neutrals as I have been collecting low volume fabrics and I think it might be a great match. Judie

I only got three blocks done, so I only got to practice a little piecing and applique. But it was still a joy to stretch my sewing skills with those. I think what I enjoyed most was following along on everyone else’s journey, learning along with them. The biggest thing I learned is that although I thought I wanted a scrappy quilt, I much preferred the ones with a more selective palette. And since I’m only at the beginning of my Splendid journey I will be able to incorporate that into my design as I go.

  44. 45

I loved reaching block #100. Seriously. I’ve never done a quilt along before and wasn’t sure if I could sustain the commitment. However the fun blocks that were all different from each other kept me excited to see the next one. Also seeing everyone else’s efforts, plus reading about how many of the big name designers came into quilting made for a fascinating journey. Glad I stuck it out to the end.
